Book Review: This is one of the few books to truly freak me out!
Summary: 5 Stars

This was the first book that I had read by Ben Mezrich, and I thought it was amazing. The way he writes and describes the characters and places is very good, but best of all is the plot itself. At the start of the book you find yourself with lots of plotlines that you cannot imagine would be connected in any way. But, then again, this is the X-Files, so anything's possible. Then later in the book, you finally think that you've figured it all out...only to read on and discover another twist in the plot that confuses you.

If you think that you will find all of the unexpected plot twists and confusing story lines boring, think again. I could not put this book down once I had picked it up (literally, once, when I was up until about two in the morning reading it). Plus, you get a whole load of action; from psychotic hospital patients and a massive car crash to World War Two experiments and ancient monsters...seriously, it's all in there!

I don't want to give away anything much about the plot, but here's a little bit of the basics. Hospital patient goes crazy, killing a nurse and destroying his hospital room. Mulder and Scully hear about it, and investigate...

All that said, five stars to you, Ben. Make sure the next one's just as good!
