Book Review: A complicated book yielding great potential for structures
Summary: 5 Stars
Having used this book to design my own domes and ellipsoid shaped roofs and containers, I can recommend this to any engineer who aims to create more interesting designs for their buildings. Fortunately I was taught the topic at university and thus given a helping hand in understanding the contents of this, now very old, book. Even though it is old, the proofs and derivations are still true today and no British Standard covers these topics. It covers a great range of shapes which, if more often used, would create a more interesting space than the bog standard "column, beam and slab" designs we see all too often being erected in our cities.
