Book Review: an uplifting Book - perhaps too general?
Summary: 4 Stars
An interesting book - however what you get out of it depends on your expectations of it coming in. If you were expecting an interesting autobiography of how Rafe got through the difficulties of his teaching - naming and shaming villains etc. who he encountered and surmounted along the way then this will not be for you. However it is an uplifting book, about how it is possible for teachers to really change childrens lives, but not by being stuck in the box, or blindly following school rules and traditions. A great inspiration for anyone faced with seemingly insurmountable problems. However one shouldn't expect too many techniques eg. this will improve your class beyond all measure etc. rather the more general philosphy with one or two tips.
