An interesting combination of autobiography and philosophy, the subtitle pretty much explains the content of the book. Flew (son of the prominent Methodist theologian R. Newton Flew author of the classic "The Idea of Perfection in Christian Theology") after a lifetime composing some of the most effective atheist arguments against God's existence changed his mind. The argument from probability proved too great. The probability that there is no Mind behind the complexity of the universe is just so remote as to be unbelievable. Flew has become a theist but not yet a Christian or a believer in any particular religion. However the inclusion here, in an Appendix, of an essay by N.T. Wright on the Resurrection of Christ, and his positive reponse to it, show him to be close to embracing a Christian understanding of God.
