Book Review: Captivating story - loved the heroine!
Summary: 5 Stars
This is only the 2nd time I have read a Georgette Heyer novel and it won't be the last. This is an elegantly written story that is captivating from beginning to end. There are so many details and layers to her writing that it almost becomes a sensory experience. There is a great glimpse of regency society. The romance is very tame by todays standards, but there is a good build up of emotion. Although I wasn't a big fan of the Duke of Avon, his part is well developed and fitting. I loved the heroine, Leonie and Rupert, the Duke's brother. They both provided the humor and levity.
