Boy!!! The book grows on you!!!The unusual title of the book attracted me first and I am happy it did, for it really made me to think about the subject of creativity again and again more so as time passed. The book is easy to read I will recommend it to the readers in their leisure times: traveling, sitting in a park, bedtime reading or just whenever your mind is free and in a thoughtful state. The book provides insights and various points of view to look at the subject of creativity from various cultural aspects to language and others. The book has various famous personalities such as Anita Roddick and Peter Doggett, who have achieved success with their new ways and ideas of doing things differently, providing their take on creativity. Each of the personality has a different point of view and express creativity in as different way as it can possibly be. This for me is the highlight of the book as it did not provide me with definitions of the subject but a starting point, where I could start my own journey and reach my own creative destination, very different from these personalities but in no way less valuable or praiseworthy. The message is loud and clear "Each individual has to take his/her own unique creative journey>"
Author Kirpal Singh provokes you with some controversial statements and beliefs especially in the language and cultural factors section (and acknowledges that it is controversial). But then he has dared to tread a path where criticism can flow easily but only the people who are willing to challenge the norms will be able to write on creativity. The book shatters norms right from the word go, be it multiple introductions, conversational style writing from an university academic or challenging and shaking the ego of the reader rather than usual coaxing. I recommend this book to all youngsters who are still looking for directions and goals in their lives.
