Summary: 5 Stars
I started reading this book in an earlier electronic iteration, and soon determined to buy it when published. It is extremely well-written, in depth, and has a strong object-oriented focus throughout. I also like the way Eckel weaves design patterns into the text. As an experienced C++ programmer, this book made for a very smooth transition into Java.
