Book Review: Awesome book, Not my favorite
Summary: 4 Stars

I have read almost every Sarah Desson book and I just finished This Lulliby last night. It was not my favorite, but I did love the character Remy.

Sarah Desson is known, at least to me, of her witty metaphors and almost poetic writing. She also supplies every book with wonderful, well thought out characters. Remy, of all the characters I have read so far, is my favorite. She, like myself, is a complete cynic to the thought of love. She doesn't really understand what the hoopla of it is all about and often wonders and questions why everyone is dying to do something that is not promised and may end in heartbreak.

Besides Remy and her friends though, I thought the characters were a bit lacking. I wanted more from Chris because he seemed like the type of brother that would be there for you...But he kind of faltered and only showed up when it was conveniant. I also felt the main guy character, Dexter, didn't get as much attention as I would have liked.

Also, I usually expect SD books to have a lot of mushy moments (I actually crave them) and sweet episodes between couples but Remy and Dex didn't get these moments. They were often summed up, a memory Remy briefly descibed what had happened.

Even though, in a book about love, there wasn't much love going on, I still enjoyed the book emensly. I actually took something away from it, a better understanding perhaps because I could relate to Remy and her thoughts of love so easily.

I highly recommend this book...Just as much as I do all of SD books.

Book Review: Awesome!
Summary: 5 Stars

Oooh some of these reviews are kinda harsh. Personally, I've never read a better romance novel in my entire life. I normally avoid romances like the plague but after reading this book (something my friend convinced me to do) I ended up falling in love with not only the story but the characters as well. I absolutely love Dexter and I think Remy has so many different layers, she can't help but be interesting. This is one of those books I'm going to continue reading over and over for a very long time. IT'S AWESOME!!!

Book Review: Awesomely good book
Summary: 5 Stars

This Lulaby is one of the best books for teens I've read so far.Dexter is a funny guy and TRemy is an interesting character.Dexter is the only boy she's having a hard time to break up with compared to the other boyfriends she's had.

You should reaaly read this book. You will spend your money without a ny regrets

Book Review: Bearable but not Believable
Summary: 2 Stars

This book was pretty much just a book. The teenage girl in it, Remy, is supposed to be too many things at once that are not really personified. She is supposed to be an icy heart-breaker, while being a compulsive neat freak who organizes everything in life, while being an irresposible drinker and easy to sleep with, while also being an extrememly mature parent to her mom. None of these things were worked in well together, so thought I did read the book without dying of boredom, it was nothing special at all.
I read reviews that said the book went deeper than expected, and had many twists. I find myself asking: where in the world are these twists? Every single thing that happened in this book was completely expected: I could have finished the story myself after the first two chapter alone.
All of the characters were flat, and none of them felt very real. The author portrayed the story in a "realistic" tone that made it feel like someone I knew was telling me this long story about one of their friends. Which means, I didn't care and I was basically bored, but politely interested.
I pretty much finished it because I had paid eight dollars for the thing and had already started it.

If you're really bored, go ahead and give it a try. It'll give you a few hours of something to do that won't kill you.

Book Review: Best book
Summary: 5 Stars

Carrie Eshleman Block 3

"People weren't meant to be together forever..." would be a good way to describe how Remy, a high school girl, feels about love. After watching her mom go through four marriages and on her fifth one, who could blame her. Plus her dad left when she was a little girl. She hasn't had the best examples of love working and people staying together. So that's why she barely stays in relationships longer than a month. However, she never seems to not have a boyfriend. When she does have a boyfriend, she makes sure that she doesn't get too close so she doesn't get her heartbroken, like her mom. Then she meets this boy, Dexter, who she ends up falling in love with. I think you should this book just because it's one of those books where you actually can feel what the character is going through. This book kept me very interested. I never wanted to put it down. From personal experience, I knew what the character was going through, so I could relate throughout the whole book. I think this book is more for the relationship people. If you've gone through heartbreak, you'll know what Remy is going through, so I think that would help when reading this book. This book is definitely more for girls. It gets pretty emotional at some parts. Personally, I ended up crying, I related to Remy that much. I really think you should read this book, especially if you like the relationship books. This is one of my all-time favorite books.
