Book Review: LOVE IT!
Summary: 4 Stars
Remy had lost her father at a very young age. She isn't really dealing too well, probably because of the fact that she won't face her feelings. Her mother has been married almost a half-dozen times and is on for yet another one. Her brother has even been sucked onto the marraige train and is preparing to marry a girl that Remy doesn't exactly love. She sits in a car dealership (that's where her new step-dad-to-be works) and this very nosy and persistant boy comes up to her. She tries to resist any feelings for him, but Dexter pulls Remy into her web. He is the lead singer of a band, not the kind of guy she would go for since her dad was also a singer. Dexter and his crazy friends help Remy to deal with life and grow up a little more. It's a MUST READ by the great author Sara Dessen. I give it a thumbs-up! This book is very good in my opinion.
I love Sarah Dessen`s books, despite the fact that I only read two, but I plan on reading every single one of them. And I have friends who read them too.
The only flaw I saw to the book is that at the beggining Dexter (the "male main character") seemed a little stalkerish. I was like: if a guy did that to me I`d be freaked out. But then, when you get to know him, you realize he is certainly not a stalker. Although, I didn`t fall in love with him. It wasnt like in "Along for the ride", where the guy was Eli, who I totally loved since the beggining. In this book I wasn`t sure if I wanted Emily to be with Dexter. Being honest, I didn`t like him very much.
But I liked that fact, because I connected to Emily, and despite the fact that I didn`t connect with Dexter, the book still appealed to me, and I couldn`t stop turning pages.
I dont know how I feel about the ending. It`s like Sarah Dessen`s endings: open. Very open. Although this one was very: ?. I want to know what will happen. I think now its all up to my imagination.
In conclusion, this book is a good one (like all Sarah Dessen`s books). Read it if you can.
Book Review: Love Does Exist

'This Lullaby' was another one of Sarah Dessens great novels. Though it was a great book, reading 'Dreamland' previous to 'This Lullaby', was a bit dissapointing because of the intensity and addicting quality that 'Dreamland' offered. Remy, the main character, is a girl that doesn't believe in love after seeing her mothers five marriages fail. Her thoughts of unexisting love are tested when she meets Dexter who is a musician, which is breaking Remy's rule on dating musicians like her father who left her family when she was born leaving only a song, 'This Lullaby' for her. Find out whether she ends her streak of breaking up with guys before it gets serious or if she can actually fall in love for once and not break the guys heart. This story tests your limits on what true love is and teaches that no matter what, love still exists and always will.Book Review: Loved it!!

I personally love all of Sarah Dessen's novels and I think she is just a brilliant author. It's one of those books that all teenage girls can relate to, they're so real. It does an amazing job at keeping the reader's attention, with her original tale, fresh character's, and if you're a Dessen fan, you'll notice the little things from all of the other books. It has its moments where it will make you laugh and smile. I abs love Dexter! He's just so dreamy and real. I love these type of books where you can really relate to all of the characters. It really is an awesome book. Overall I give this book 4.5 out of 5 paws.

I think this book is sooo powerful and fun! I LOVED it.. i re-read it at least once a year. On like page 11 when she first meets Dexter.. i laugh every time. This is the book that made me fall in love with Sarah Dessen's books! :) She is a amazing author and write more meaningful book.. not just about the perfect girl and the perfect boy getting together. i highly suggest you read this. you will LOVE IT! :)
