Book Reviews of Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Promote Peace . . . One School at a TimeBook Review: Lessons learnd on the roof top of the world Summary: 5 StarsA very hard book to put down. A true human triumph written so beautifully. Just 2 days before the next chapter of American history is written as America finally gets ready to depart from its old worn out habits and turn in a new page in her own history, we can only hope that the new president and his administration will take a lesson in compassion and humility from the players in this book, such as illiterate Haji Ali, and make an attempt to understand the basics of the cultures in the region and set a new course for peace in these areas that matter to security of all the people and all Americans everywhere.
Greg and all his supports have made a monumental difference in lives of so many. It is so impressive to hear Jahan can dream so big. It is so inspiring that these girls can have a chance.
Book Review: Highly recommended Summary: 5 StarsA very inspirational and eye-opening book. It brings forth a lot of the complexities of aid work in Pakistan and Afghanistan and the effects of US policy and the war on terror on that part of the world. This is a hopeful story that shows how education and opportunities can transform minds and lives.
Book Review: 3 CUPS OF TEA Summary: 5 Starseveryone needs to read this book!! What an inspiration!! If only the leaders of our country would read it and realize what real help is for a war torn country. Drop books not bombs.
Book Review: Three Cups of Tea Summary: 5 StarsFantastic Book! We used this for our monthly book club meeting and everyone was very moved by it. I have since told many people about it. A message we all need to hear...
Book Review: Well worth the Read! Summary: 5 StarsThis is the unlikely story of one man's determination to change the world. Greg Mortenson was wandering through life without direction or purpose until he got lost after a failing to summit one of the world's highest peaks. In getting lost, he found himself and his passion - to bring education to a people that most in the world never even knew existed. His story of hardship, failed attempts at rasing money, dogged perseaverence and finally success should be an inspiration to us all. It is possible to for one person with a dream change the world! All it takes is commitment, heart and not accepting the "impossible" can't be done.
Reading this book is well worth everyone's time. The purchase helps to support a very worthy cause, but more importantly it might just motivate the reader to find a way to change the world themselves.
