Book Review: Engaging, nifty, innovative concept & plot

The excerpt evoked a wonderful feeling for me, of peering through the Macy's window at the Christmas display, all the intricate figures moving in prescribed dances, a set-piece diorama that took on increasing life as I read, the clockwork becoming smoother and blending into a stream I watched play before me. The major characters are introduced in the excerpt, and by it's end one can see where we are going - it's the interaction that's going to be so much fun to watch. That the collision course is visible early is suited for the genre, the characters are quirky, leading to the eccentric interaction. The prose generates emotion from the reader for each of the main characters, and the oddity, the surreal quality - again, like watching the Macy's Christmas display through the window - of the events that surround the three, and their attraction to one of the other two's characteristics. That's a really long-winded way of saying I appreciate the set-piece artistry.
I really want to read more, and this is coming from a fellow author (and ABNA entrant, gotta get a plug in) with tons of projects and demands on his time.
