Book Reviews of Three Guys from Miami Cook Cuban

Book Review: A guy from Miami rates Three Guys from Miami Cook Cuban
Summary: 5 Stars

"Three Guys from Miami Cook Cuban" is the best cookbook I own...and I own a lot. I am from Miami and the book reflects most accurately the moods, the aromas, and the tastes of authenic Cuban cooking.
For my first meal from this book, I chose Cuban Paella...not an easy dish to make. It was the very best meal I have ever prepared. Everybody loved it...to die for!!!
Something I really like about this book is the sidebars in which the Guys tell us about the foods and the funny things they say...the remark about the Cuban vampires was a scream!!!
I most highly suggest that everyone makes this a MUST purchase item. You will not regret it.

Book Review: I expected more.
Summary: 3 Stars

I really expected to have a little bit more original cuban recipes. I mean the ones that are on there are great but I just expected more. It's still a very good cook book.

Book Review: very authentic!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have been married to a latin man for 37 years & learned how to cook Cuban (& Puerto Rican) food. I bought the book for a friend after I showed her how to make 'ropa vieja' (translated 'old clothes'). She loves it & has tried many of the recipes. The photos truly capture the latin feel & the script of the three guys is added fun. I also live in Miami & enjoy Cuban food in restaurants or my own. A must have for your collection.

Book Review: Cuban Food with humor
Summary: 2 Stars

This is an excellent beginning introduction cook book for Maimi cuban food. The recipes are very easy to follow and the ingredients are clearly explained. The only challenge I had was making Cuban bread. But I finally followed the recipe exactly and got a perfect loaf of bread. Yes I really had to roll out the dough with a rolling pin to get the bread to come out right. The writers comments just kept me reading recipes, not bad for a cook book

Book Review: THE Wedding Present for Miami Brides!
Summary: 5 Stars

I read an article in the Miami Herald that said that this cookbook had become THE present to purchase for new Cuban brides in Miami, so you know the recipes are good.

These Guys have made cooking Cuban easy with clear, easy-to-follow instructions. I have a Cuban cookbook in Spanish and even though Spanish is my first language, I find that the Three Guys recipes in English are much easier to work with.

There are several Cuban cookbooks on the market, but this one is truly the best.

Their Frita Cubana recipe is just as good as the best frita places in Miami. So if you have developed a taste for an authentic Cuban frita, try their recipe. TIP: you must include the fries AND make the "Secret" sauce to go on the burgers. It is NOT a frita without plenty of Frita sauce and the french fries on top!

The other dish that they have mastered is Cuban Tamales. There is just one place in all of Miami that you can get the BEST Cuban tamal, and even I have to admit that the Three Guys' version is just as good -- if not better.

I also love their Paella, Masitas de Puerco Fritas, Rabo Encendido, Ropa Vieja, Boliche, Papas Aplastadas, Ensalada de Aguacate y Pi?a, Fabada Asturiana, and their Tres Leches Cake is the ultimate! These dishes have become regular favorites with our family.

If you like Empanadas, they have recipes for both baked and fried and with a variety of fillings.

I can't wait for their new cookbook, "Three Guys From Miami Celebrate Cuban."
