Book Review: FANTASTIC -- from a former cookbook editor

I used to acquire cookbooks for a major publishing company, including some that became bestsellers. This is by far one of my favorite cookbooks, and I didn't have anything to do with it! I have made two types of empanadas, grilled marinated skirt steak, chimichurri sauce, Cuban meatballs and sauce, kids' punch, mojitos (of course!), and Cuban salad out of this book. Next to every single one, I have noted "Excellent & delicious!" One thing I really love about this book, besides the great taste of everything I've tried, is that the proportions all come out well -- for example, the empanada dough recipe makes as many empanadas as it says (easily), and the filling recipe makes just the right amount of filling for the dough recipe. Also, there are not a lot of crazy amounts called for -- I wasn't left with 1/3 of an onion and 4/5 of a something else. I threw a party using recipes from this book plus a few of my own, and everyone raved about the food. One guest -- a very good cook -- literally made me show her the book in my kitchen, wrote down the title, and bought it the next day! Book Review: Love to meet these guys!

Lots of fun and great recipes. A wonderful addition to a collection when you're aiming for a theme dinner party. Easy and tasty plus cute comments from the "Guys". Something to give for Christmas that I doubt my friends would have but know they'll enjoy.Book Review: Great recipes... but very few pictures

Although the recipes in this book are fantastic, I only give the book 4 stars due to the lack of pictures for each recipe. Instead of having 50 photos of the authors spread throughout the book, why not pictures of the food instead? ~70 of the 100 recipes are available on their website, fyi.

Like many, I first came to know the Three Guys through their website. This book is a collection of many of the recipes they have presented on their website over the years. Each year they have improved and refined the recipes, a long process that has finally resulted in this great book.
The Three Guys have handpicked 100 of their BEST recipes for inclusion in this volume.
Three Guys from Miami Cook Cuban is a fun, and easy-to-follow guide that will let even inexperienced home cooks turn out some great Cuban meals. The recipes are easy to prepare and you'll actually enjoy the entire process.
The book is laced with plenty of Three Guys' humor and a running commentary. The Three Guys from Miami have made several appearances on the Food Network, the Travel Channel, and Public Television. I have become a big fan!
I am looking forward to their next book with 100 MORE great Cuban recipes!

I have just three Cuban cookbooks in my collection. Two are Cuban cookbooks by Nitza Villapol.
The third Cuban cookbook? It's 'Three Guys from Miami Cook Cuban: 100 Great Cuban recipes with a Touch of Miami Spice.
These are the Cuban food recipes that hearken back to old Cuba. However, the Three Guys have updated the Cuban recipes to include 50 years of evolution in the Heart of Cuban cooking in the United States -- Miami!
If you are interested in Cuban cooking, Cuban desserts, Cuban seafood dishes, Cuban appetizers and Cuban drinks, you can't go wrong with this great Cuban cookbook. There may be other Cuban cookbooks, but nobody comes close to the Three Guys From Miami Cuban cookbook for style, wit, photography, design and some delicious easy-to-prepare Cuban food recipes!
Oh, and I love the many photos of the Three Guys, by the way. It's all part of the fun! Some people have no sense of humor NOR do they know a thing about GREAT Cuban food!
This is AUTHENTIC Cuban food as enjoyed by Cubans in Miami today!
A visually stunning book and a must have!
