Book Reviews of Tom Cruise: An Unauthorized Biography

Book Review: tom cruise;an unauthorised biography
Summary: 3 Stars

Slow to start with information not relevant to the point ,picked up after the first hundred or so pages.Understandably tom would not like the facts to be made public about his short comings in life.

Book Review: Ouch.
Summary: 4 Stars

No holds barred here. Very revealing. I wonder how much is true and how big the law suit will be?

Book Review: Unauthorized Cruise
Summary: 4 Stars

It is no wonder why Tom Cruise failed to authorize this book as there is definite, mean-spirited spin on the part of the author. Morton's intentionality to demean Scientology is more than apparent and it colors all else. The all absorbing, intricate description of the Scientology process is unfortunately based on hearsay and would have benefitted from in vivo experience. Are we to trust those disgruntled few who have left the fold or been kicked out. Can we believe them entirely? Regarding career, what is drawn rather clearly is the staunch determination and motivation of Tom Cruise. Talent is not the only reason for his stardom. Regarding Scientology, only the future knows if this fierce determination has been put to its best use.

The book, while tantalizingly interesting in points, smacks of sensationalism and profiteering. Much of the scientology process is sketched with a shaky brush that needs firming up to be believable. What is crystal clear is Scientology's hatred of psychoanalysis and psychoanalysts which most likely explains why Tom Cruise never gave me his dream to interpret for my last book:Private Dreams of Public People Lauren Lawrence

Book Review: Obviously hit home
Summary: 4 Stars

A good book about an uneducated person with a gift for pretending to be other than what he is, the extraordinary way in which the public will iconify celebrities, and a multi-billion dollar organization that uses celebrity adulation for its own ends.
Before buying it, I thought Andrew Morton's book was going to be virulently anti-Cruise, detailing his various alleged homosexual affairs, his rumored steroid use and the disputed paternity of his child. Morton, in fact, presents nothing without detailed documentation and support, often underlining the positive sides of Cruise's life (whatever else, his whole life is testament to what a great actor he is).
One note, though, certainly resonated: the extent to which the Church of Scientology will attempt to control every aspect of the media's reporting on it and--by extension--their prize Thetan (this was certainly evident after the book's publication--and will result in this review being attacked within hours...).

Book Review: VERY INTERESTING AND ENTERTAINING
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is awesome. It is very interesting and keeps your attention. I never thought I would want to know that much about Tom Cruise. I'm not a big fan. However, after all of the media involving this book, I had to read it. I was not disappointed.
