Book Review: Love & Miss Artie!!!
Summary: 5 Stars
As a long time Stern listener (20+ years) when Artie joined the show - it was like listening it to the first time again! Love his story telling, impressions, the guy just seemed unstoppable!! A little about me, mid 40's, business professional, woman, no addictions, no therapies, just average run of the mill yuppie I guess. I bought the book the day it was available, but finally got around to read it...
Yes, I laughed out loud - and reading it so late, some of the stories weren't as new as I had heard through radio show fodder.. No worries - no spoiler alert here - but it was very difficult to read (emotion) due to where Artie is today. Knowing the demons he wrote about - were/are obviously still there just broke my heart. If you're an Artie fan, and I mean, a fan who cares, not someone who would share coke or buy him Jack all night - then you'll feel the same way... You want Artie back.
I hope he has another book - overcoming those demons - and continue to tell the stories he does so well.
