Book Reviews of Top 100 Baby Purees: 100 Quick and Easy Meals for a Healthy and Happy Baby

Book Review: Fussy little book
Summary: 2 Stars

Some of the vegetable and fruit combinations were creative in this book, and it certainly has pretty pictures, but in terms of providing useful information and recipes, it was somewhat disappointing, and at times even insultingly simplistic: I.e., How to make banana mush: take a banana, peel it, and mash it with a fork and serve. Now, why would someone need to explain this in a book? I suppose if you really are at a loss in a kitchen, this book might offer some useful advice, but it is not for anyone who has even a minimum of cooking experience. Because some of the food combinations were so unique, this might be a good second or third choice for a baby food library, but I suppose I was looking for a more authoratative book with information on the whys and hows of food introduction.

Book Review: Annabel Karmel - Top 100 Baby Purees
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is excellent value and full of great ideas and baby meals. So easy to do and safe in the knowledge that you are doing the right thing for your baby. Would definately recommend this for someone who is just weaning their baby and wants to give them a great start to the world of taste and enjoyment.

Book Review: Helpful information
Summary: 5 Stars

Love it. Lots of ideas specially for people that hate the kitchen like me and don't have very good cooking ideas.
The fact that tells you what is suitable for freezing or not is very helpful. I have tried the recipes before giving them to the baby and they actually taste good.

Book Review: Easy!
Summary: 5 Stars

A friend of my husband gave us this book & it has been great. I made the carrots, applesauce, butternut squash, pears & peas (in that order) and our baby eats with no problems. I have tasted everything and it is all delicious. My sister-in-law, who has a 7-year old child and plans to have another baby, tasted the pears and said she will "never" buy any pre-made baby food ever again! Some people in my family think I am trying to be like Martha Stewart, but trust me, it takes no time to prepare, with the assistance of a small electric hand blender/food processor. You will feel good that your baby has fresh, preservative-free foods. I strongly encourage any new mother to try it!
