Book Review: 2 characters that don't belong together

After reading 1/2 the book, I found myself skipping pages. Just too much b.s. that didn't need to be in the story. An over worrying girlfriend, a firefighter boyfriend that has problems emotionally handling his job, and isn't too keen on the girlfriend being a witch. Why were these two even together? It seemed obvious from the start that the hero wasn't drawn to the heroine by more than just looks. But slipping in silly monologues of "he didn't know why he needed her, he just did." doesn't solidify a believable relationship between the two. After the first fight, (and it was totally childish at that) I was cheering for them NOT to get back together! But of course you know a romance novel ends in the 2 characters realizing they need one another and living happily ever after.
The petty drama, arguments over how silly each other's friends are, and the fact that neither of them seemed to sync except in bed, didn't make for such a great story. It is yet another book, I didn't care to finish because I just didn't give a crap what happened to the characters. Whiney, self centered, emotional, drama, that is best left to the teenagers, not adults. Skip this one.
