Book Reviews of TrainspottingBook Review: worth reading, just! Summary: 3 Stars
Whilst Welsh's novel has achieved cult status, it is unfortunate that this would not have happened without Boyle's vastly superior film. The book is in the majority entertaining, but the author is obsessed in the self-rightousness of his own part of society and does nothing to challenge the reasons or solutions of their problems. It is easy to get on the high-horsed band wagon about this book, but the praise is richly undeserved.
