Book Reviews of Tuck EverlastingBook Review: A read-aloud that sparks wonderful parent-child discussion Summary: 5 Stars
Tuck was a great jumping-off point into discussions about life, death, and eternity with my young child. The thought-provoking subject matter would be enough to warrant a great review, but Babbitt brings more than philosophy to the book: She brings lyricism. The prose just positively sings off the page. My 5yo absolutely fell in love first with Jesse, then with Miles, and finally with Tuck. Highly recommended read-aloud.
Book Review: A review from an adult Summary: 3 Stars
This is a good story, but I think there's a major flaw. She worries intensely about Mrs. Tuck going to the gallows, because Mrs. Tuck can't die. Then, right after the toad she's fond of almost gets attacked by a dog, she dumps the spring water all over the toad. I finished the book last night and I'm still worried about the toad.
Book Review: A shining example of children's lit and a captivating tale Summary: 5 Stars
I decided to finally read this book after my mother, a 5th grade teacher, told me it was her class' next read-aloud. I just cannot believe that none of my own upper elementary school teachers ever selected this as a class novel! I'm so glad I finally had a chance to read this one...to me, it is the perfect example of what good children's literature should be. It is superbly written, full of stunning imagery, and it tells a tale that is completely captivating. Babbitt certainly is blessed with a gift for writing amazingly well-crafted children's novels. I still cannot get over her use of language and imagery! That first passage in the prologue is just fantastic. I will definitely keep this one in mind for a read-aloud in my own classroom someday. I would absolutely recommend this novel to all readers out there, whatever your age may be!
Book Review: A wonderful story ... Summary: 5 Stars
A wonderful story about a family called the Tucks that never dies or gets damaged. A girl who finds out about the mysterious secret about the Tucks gets into an adventure. The part I liked was when the author left some mysterious questions that were never answered. This book is wonderful and you should try reading it!

Book Review: Action, adventure, and romance Summary: 5 Stars
Tuck Everlasting
Do you like adventure and romance? Then Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt is your book to read. Then you can go on an adventure with the Tuck family and Winnie.
This book has a bit of everything -- romance, adventure, and action. It all started when Winnie always thought she was in a prison in her fenced backyard. One day she snuck out of her house and went to the woods. There, she saw a boy drinking from a spring. His name was Jesse. Then she was taken to his father's home by force, and the family told Winnie that the spring that Jesse was drinking from made them live forever.
I would recommend this book to anyone who has a HUGE imagination and a good dictionary inside their head, because the novel has complex phrases. I like this book because it has romance, action, and adventure.
Have fun reading Tuck Everlasting!
