Book Reviews of Twilight EyesBook Review: One of Koontz's best Summary: 5 StarsThis is a great book-- it is nearly impossible to put down. Koontz keeps a good pace to the storyline, and the writing style definitely keeps it interesting. The plot is spooky but also has a lot of humorous parts and is really enjoyable. I highly recommend "Twilight Eyes" to any Dean Koontz fan, or really anyone who's looking for a good horror novel, because you'll find it in this.
Book Review: Do U see goblins? Summary: 4 StarsA fun and entertaining read by DK!!Koontz' first "carnie" book, Funhouse, was very good. This is a very different novel, but just as good. Slim kills his uncle and joins the carnival, falls in love, etc. It is an interesting premise and it moves along very smoothly. Characters are well developed and trademark witty repartee follows. It is a good first introduction novel to DK; not too deep as recent stuff. Having said that, Koontz knows how to write and not get too wordy (although lately he has gotten King-syndrome to just ramble on and on). Not very-thought provoking, but great reading.
Book Review: I see goblins Summary: 3 StarsDEan Koontz explores that "are demons living amongst us disguised as humans?" idea in his book TWILIGHT EYES and he starts it very well. His main character is Slim Mackenzie(I may have misspelled that) a 17-year old guy who sees 'goblins' disguised as human beings who like killing people. Slim ran away to join the carnival after killing his uncle(whose a goblin) with an axe. That seems a little absurd at first, I think thats what DK was going for though and it makes youu wonder if this guys crazy or if he really does see 'goblins'. After he explains what his mysterious uncle did you'll see it differently. Anyway the story takes place mostly in and around the carnival, with excellent and alive characters including Joel Tuck, a character you have to read about to believe. The first part of this book is excellent, but the second part is kind of disappointing. It developes slowly and isnt very interesting. Also when I discovered what the goblins really were, I was like 'is that it?'. Thats right, they're man-made creatures and were apparently made by an ancient civilization thousands and thousands of years ago. Why couldn't they just be demons or something? DK seems to have something against the supernatural. All in all though, the book isn't bad it could just be better. I really like DK's work, some of my favorites are Darkfall, Dragon Tears, Lightning, and the excellent Phantoms. I would still reccomend reading TWILIGHT EYES, but as far as horror goes, I only give it three and a half stars.

Book Review: Had me "seeing" goblins hehehe Summary: 5 StarsFunny, I borrowed this book from my sister and read it cover to cover in about 5 days....I read it while working at an atmosphere sorta like the carnival in the book, so it made my day at work more interesting (working at a fair, watching lots and lots of people walk by daily) The action is great and I like the sex scenes too....I really like the idea of deamons in mens clothing and skin......I think I may have met a few of mr koontzes goblins when at around the time I read the book I had a little stint at jury duty.....lets just say the judge and a few of the lawyers were giving me the chills after reading this book....room full of "goblins" hehe.... I STRONGLY suggest that Mr Koontz make this book into a movie....or TV series....If you are reading this Mr Koontz please make a movie on this book, it would rule!well thats all, Im not intensly critical because Im easy to please.....and I have an open mind :)
