Book Reviews of Twilight (The Twilight Saga, Book 1)Book Review: LOVED IT TO BITS Summary: 5 StarsI brought this book at 2 in the afternoon and finished it at 3 in the morning. Couldnt put it down. Then i made my mum read it and she loved it too. Even when it's finished you still have butterflies, and i had to re-read parts of it. LOVED THIS BOOK TO BITS, own it and know i'll read it a million times. Stephenie Meyer is a really good writer, can't wait for more of her books.
Book Review: High school vampires! Summary: 3 StarsI picked this up from my library where it was displayed for teen readers, if you're not a teen then don't let that put you off - If you like your vampire fiction then this is an interesting debut novel which you should read. While this idea isn't particularly original it is well written. The changes in Edwards moods and actions keep the reader guessing as to how the romance with Bella will go. The story pokes fun at traditional vampire myths: sunlight, crosses, etc and the conversations are realistic and funny. While some of the background characters are a little 1 dimensional the main characters - Bella and Edward are well rounded and hold your attention. Overall this is an ejoyable book, and I would think there will be a sequel due to the open ending. If you like it then try L.J Smith's Vampire Diaries as they follow a same theme and are equally as good if not better.
Book Review: Uniuqely Wonderful! Summary: 5 StarsWhen I first saw this book something about it drew me in. It is the type of book that you stay up all night to read. The main character is a girl named Bella; who moves to a small town that she loathes and where she knows no one. However while she is there she meets Edward who is a vampire. They fall deely in love with each other even though they know there is the danger that Edward thirsts for her blood. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good star-crossed love story.
Book Review: GRIPPING, COMPELLING AND SOMEWHAT BRILLIANT Summary: 5 StarsWhen I first saw "Twilight" on the book shelf, I was attracted to it. I sat down in the book shop (something I regulaly do) and read the first chapter. It was brilliant. Sadly, I could not buy it, as I did not have enough money on me. But, when I went back to school, one of my good friends had read it, and they told me that no matter what, I had to buy it.
Twilight is about the love between a vampire and a girl. May sound corney, but that it he last thing it is!
Isabella Swan is new to Forks, and at first, it seems duller than a gray room. Then she meets Edward, and is surprised by his apparent hatred towards her. But when he saves her from a car crash that nearly killed her, she needs to know more about him. She soon finds out that he is a vampire, and he has a thirst for her blood. She grows to love him, and finds out the he feels the same about her. He learns to resist the tempatation of her blood.
It is such an amazing book, and if you havnt yet read it, I thoroughly reccomend it to you!
