Book Review: A wonderful timely gift

When I first received this, I thought it would be all text with a few pictures. I was wrong. There is an ample amount of pictures and some really good history of LSU. I am only familiar with the recent past of LSU (1976-forward), but was very interested to learn about LSU from the beginning (through the Civil War) and depression, WWII and the 1960's. The different directions and the chronological order of buildings and roads were presented in a very nostalgic manner. I had many classes in those buildings and it is nice to understand the history of their namesake and why it's important.
