Book Review: Excellent for beginners who want to get it right

This book is for anyone who has finished some DIY or projects involving wood, and looked at the end product wondering why it does not look as good as the example of TV and why it took such a long time as well.This book will help you change that experience as it applies a simple concept, keeping it simple. The book takes the reader through the basic steps of what you should have been doing all this time and then walks you through the different finishes that you see the master craftsman showing you at the end of their shows.
There are plenty of tips to problems encountered and the advice saved two of my projects from looking like someone had dropped finish from about 5 feet.
It is not something that you need to read cover to cover, go over the first 3 chapters, then dip in and out as you need to get the job done right.
It is a little bit American, not surprisingly, and so some of the products are not 'over here', but this detracts nothing from the content.
