Book Review: A Welcome Correction to This Distorted Field of Study

This small 30 page pamphlet is much needed in the study of "National Socialist esotericism", a field so filled with non-sense in most quarters. So much has been spawned from French and French-Jewish propaganda and intentional disinformation; we're talking several hundred books and millions of individuals that have been influenced by these books and their authors. A welcome sobering book that came out by the translator of this pamphlet; Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke's "The Occult Roots of Nazism", managed to change the field somewhat into a more serious study. That being said, even several people with PhD's still act as if Adolf Hitler was some kind of "black magician" or as if NSDAP was influenced by the "Thule Society" or some such non-sense. Therefore, this down-to-earth and facts only pamphlet more or less smashes the entire field. Hitler was an out-and-out non-religious person and the persons high up in the NSDAP with religious worldviews; Rosenberg, Darré and Himmler, for example, had no influence upon the tone of the government/party.
Hakl goes through all those persons that have been made into something they definitively were not by these various foolish authors and dismisses their entire case as unfounded or deliberate disinformation. The pamphlet is neutral and well written otherwise, although it summers somewhat from the scarcity of words. It could easily have been twice as long and a bit more thorough, but then again, there's not much to say after you have dismissed all the non-sense. One can say a lot about the winning factions of the NSDAP, but religious they were not. Hitler didn't even understand Rosenberg's excellent "The Myth of the 20th Century", nor bother to read it. 4,5 stars and definitively a must-read for anyone with an interest in history.
