With a huge section fawning over discredited physician Wakefield's Lancet study, this book is worthless tripe.
Please parents, just read the facts. The subjects of Wakefield's study were brought to him. The sample size was a half dozen. Those two facts alone should show that the study was junk science. Next, the whole thing about mercury. Children get more mercury from milk (human or cow formula) than they ever get from vaccines. The preservative in question isn't even used any more.
Wakefield's study stood alone against a wash of other, more reliable studies, which found no link between MMR and autism.
The fancy graphs in this book are simply manipulated trends which happen to show a correlation. And as everyone knows, correlation does not equal causation. What explains it? More effective reporting. Autism is a spectrum disorder, and more behaviours are being recognized as autistic. It's as simple as that.
And the final nail in the coffin: the Lancet retracted his study.
