Book Reviews of Vaccines: Are They Really Safe and EffectiveBook Review: EVERY Parent should read this Summary: 5 StarsThis book is fantastic! It is very informative and the facts are well researched with many sources cited. I planned to vaccinate my children and a friend let me borrow this book while I was pregnant (she got it from her chiropractor.) I was extremely sceptical- until I started reading. People will accuse those who don't vaccinate of being bad parents but if you educate yourself about the vaccines you'll realize that not vaccinating is one of the best things that you can do for your child. This book gives pros and cons for each vaccine but the cons far outweigh the pros. Many of the vaccines can have devastating impacts on short-term and long-term health, cause disorders and even death. Read this book- for your children!
Book Review: Very well researched, informative book! Summary: 5 StarsI have read many books on this controversial subject and this is by far the best, most well researched book to date that I have read. If and when I do decide to vaccinate it will be on a delayed schedule and they will be selective, the benefits of vaccinations just don't outweigh the risks, especially if you are breastfeeding, your child has natural immunity to many illnesses.
In the end each parent has to make the best decision for their child but personally knowing a parent who's child was perfect and alert and then received his 6 month "routine" vaccinations and become like a zombie and now has autism, it really meakes you think.
Even medical doctors are acknowledging the fact that vaccines are risky when given in the combinations they are dispensed in. In Dr. David Perlmutter's book "Raise a smarter child by kindergarten" he discusses how in 1991 the US gvt. added 3 additional vaccines to the required number and in that same year the rates of autism went up 1500%. Coincidence?
He suggests a delayed vaccine schedule and using single dose vials, which supposedly contain less thimerosal. Decide for yourself!
PS- For all those angry 1 star reviewers, why don't you talk to a parent of a child that has had an adverse vaccination reaction and see how angry they are!
Book Review: THE BEST BOOK FOR PARENTS TRYING TO DECIDE Summary: 5 StarsThis book was FAR more helpful than "What your Doctor May Not Tell You...". I feel confident now in my decsision to not vaccinate my son.
This book is clear and concise. It is shocking that there are actual, reported cases of death immediately after a vaccine was given yet the general consensus amongst doctors and the medical community and government is to continue giving these vaccines. I understand their point of view- their main concern if public health and I can not deny that more cases of these diseases could possibly occur without the vaccines but that is not a fact, just a possibility and furthermore, most of the diseases we vaccinate against are not serious.
So, the public health side of the debate is harder to resolve than the inner debate a parent needs to go through. After reading the documented accounts of the gruesome, permanent reactions some children have had to vaccines I simply can not/ will not chance it with my kid.
Another great source is Dr. Jay Gordon's website which has a short overview of vaccinations and is totally objective.
Book Review: Very informative Summary: 4 StarsIn my researching of whether to vaccinate or go vaccine-free, I found little mention of the actual diseases the vaccines are protecting against. The pro-vaccine camp is telling me that to not vaccinate means my children will get these horrid diseases. The anti-vaccinate group is telling me how awful the vaccines are. What this book did for me was explain the actual diseases the vaccines are to prevent...symptoms, duration, how to treat, etc. I was able to read and use it to help me determine which ones are worth the vaccine, which ones are ridiculous to vaccinate for, etc. Definitely worth the read, but four stars because I feel further reading is required before making such an important decision.
Book Review: AMAZING! THOROUGH!! Summary: 5 StarsThis book is very thorough and smart. I recommend it to ALL new parents no matter what they already believe about vaccinations.
