"Verdi" is a wonderful children's book published for the ages between 4-7. When a mother python sends her young into the wild forest, a hatchling decides that he wants to keep his yellow scales and black stripes. Instead of trading them in for a "boring" plain green.The story goes on about how he trys to stop the inevitable. The moral of this story is "Changes happen, some for the best. And others for the worst. All you can do is let it come". I know for a fact that your children, and you, will love this book.

When a mother python sends her young out into the jungle, will everything be all right?Verdi a new born python doesn't want to become green. He wants stay yellow with his beautiful black stripes forever. But he soons realizes that nothing can stop the inevitable.
This book is a good book wriiten and published for the ages 5-10.The motto is fairly simple to understand, "you cannot stop the inevitable, you might as well make your time well spent than trying to stop something that will happen anyway.

Verdi was a young snake, Growing old he could not take. He tried to avoid the lines of age, In many humorous,unusual ways. He was stuck in the mud, almost eaten by a fish, For more funny pictures you couldn't wish. Verdi became wise with old age, I couldn't stop reading every last page!!!Book Review: Verdi is an excellent educational resource.

I teach kindergarten and first grades. I used both Verdi and Stellaluna in a study of the rainforest. My students loved both books.
