Book Review: Great guide to South American wine world
Summary: 4 Stars
I've spent the summer traveling in South America, and this guide has been indispensable. Although I don't always agree with the ratings (since wine preferences are inherently personal), I respect the thorough descriptions and methodology which went into creating the rankings. The style of writing is informative and even covers some politics, an unavoidable aspect of South American wines. And finally, it's in two languages, a rare find in a book of this quality and detail. (What better way to practice learning another language...)Overall, I have been extremely happy with my wine discoveries (particularly in Argentina), and I feel I owe much of it to this guide. I hope that it will continue to improve and expand in future editions.
