Book Review: The title says it all

If you've got to this page then you're likely to have heard of Doyle, in which case he needs no introduction and you should buy this book without delay.
The highlights for me are Caleb's Report, Tokyo and White Rose for Mary. That's mainly because the more upbeat tunes are truly virtuoso in speed and technicality, at least those are virtuoso in technicality not speed. If I was able to claw hammer like Doyle then perhaps I'd be writing a book instead of a review.
Alternate tunings abound, so make sure you've got lots of guitars and/or a good set of tuning pegs.
If you've found this page without knowing who Doyle is and you aspire to become a virtuoso fingerstyle player then buy this along with one of Tommy Emmanuel's books. This book has a few pages of technique overview, but is really a music and tab book and CD. You learn by listening and practising, hard.
If you're in doubt as to Doyle's credentials then put his name in to your favourite web video site and check out a few clips.
Another great book to arm yourself with is Eric Roche's Acoustic Guitar Bible.
I'm self taught and have been playing for 18 years. I can imagine if you have a teacher that they would teach you these pieces but will be challenged by at least some of them.
A few last words for any remaining doubters, the harmonies are sublime, not to mention the inventiveness of the chordal progressions and cascading harmonic patterns. Buy it and enjoy!
