Book Reviews of Voyager (Outlander)Book Review: An Amazing journey! Summary: 5 Stars
Voyager shows us the journey of Jamie and Claire after their heartbreaking separation at the end of Dragonfly in Amber. What occurred during those twenty years? This novel jumps form 18th century Scotland with Jamie and current 1968 with Claire. Both are struggling to live without each other. This novel is really interesting because for the first time we have Jamie's point of view which I really enjoyed. I loved their reunion! It was so good and touching that I've read that part of the novel at least three times!
I didn't like the fact that Jamie and Claire were separated for so long. However, I think it adds to their character development because it was interesting to see them get to know each other again. I think Voyager is a better read than the second novel because we see both Jamie's and Claire's point of view. Plus, it was a little more interesting than the second novel in my opinion. Voyager is definitely worth the read if you've loved the series so far! I'm excited to continue on their journey!
Book Review: An excellent continuation of a fabulous series Summary: 5 Stars
Although this was not my favorite of the first three Outlander books, that's kind of like me saying I prefer Lindt chocolate over Godiva chocolate -- they're all yummy!
"Voyager" was a little hard for me to wrap my mind around at first, as it took me a while to get used to a 20-years-older Jamie, but that hurdle was quickly passed as I got caught up in the book with it's interesting twists and turns.
This series is one of my all-time favorites!
Book Review: Another Triumph in the Outlander Series Summary: 5 Stars
Outlander will always be my favorite in this series but Voyager runs a close race. What can I say about Jamie and Claire that hasn't already been said. The most realistic charactors that you will ever have the pleasure to meet in a story. As much as I loved Dragonfly in Amber, there were parts in the beginning that were a little slow but Voyager starts with a bang and never stops until you finish the last page. Another incredible triumph in one of the greatest epic adventures ever written.
Book Review: As good as the first in the series, better than the second book. Summary: 4 Stars
Escapism, adventure, easy reading, and spicy - good for a long trip or snippet reading when you can steal time. Recommended for adult women with a healthy sense of imagination. The romantic aspect appealed to me less than the adventure and historical aspects. Not particularly well written or profound, rather for busy women who like to read to escape - this is a great series. The first book was best, the second slightly feeble, but this, the third, picks up steam and the content is varied and captivating. I want to visit Scotland now!
Book Review: As usual another great book Summary: 5 Stars
The Voyager was as thrilling as the others, I love the stories and mishap that Jamie and Claire get into. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series..
