Book Reviews of Wall and PieceBook Review: Angry artist with a great sense of humor Summary: 5 Stars
I really hate 99% of graffiti. It is destructive and at best it's bad art, but usually it's just plain crap done by really stupid bored kids. Destruction is always the simplest thing to do. That said - Bansky is brilliant. He is an artist (better yet an angry artist with a lot to say and a n excellent sense of humor). This book is a must for lovers of contemporary art.
Book Review: Any fan of Banksy or stencil art should have this book Summary: 5 Stars
Wall and Piece is a fantastic coffee-table conversation point to have, after the disappointment of Extencilism due to it's tiny size, Wall and Piece was a joy to get hold of - containing art both of funny and black humour, and a good 100 pages or so. Contains a good spread of Banksy's work... before the council drones got to it!
Book Review: Awsome Message, great book Summary: 5 Stars
It's just wonderful how he reminds us to activly use our freedom of speech, and the courage to put up messages that people are afraid to confront. He makes some great work and really puts out some good points.
Book Review: Banksy Summary: 5 Stars
A friend showed me this book and I loved it. Its a sample of the off-the-wall artwork from a groundbreaking artist. He mostly works with graffiti around London, but employs other clever mediums as well. I highly recommend this book for personal enjoyment or as a gift.
Book Review: Banksy is the Man Summary: 5 Stars
Banksy the mystery man has put together a beautiful, moving, outrageous, brilliant book.
He's an amazing artist, and is politically and socially challenging.
