Book Review: Better title: Wayne Rooney - poor role model.

I bought this book and began to read it to my children in hopes that they could get to know their idol a bit better and encourage reading. Well, what a mistake! Rooney talks about his visits with prostitutes, how lazy he is, and basically outlines why no parent should encourage their child to look at him as a role model. While I guess one can respect his honestly, his immaturity and ego in writing this poorly written book are obvious. It's a shame that he allowed such a poor portrayal of himself to be published under his own name. After getting halfway in the book and editing many of the events, or just skipping them completely, my oldest son said, "he sounds like a jerk. I think I like Owen better".
It's a shame, because I think that Wayne may not be as bad as he allowed himself to be presented. His agent should be ashamed for allowing such a poor portrayal of this superstar to ever see the light of day. Why Rooney put his own name on this only underlines his immaturity.
The result is that this is not a good read for any adult and certainly not a suitable for any young person.
