Book Review: Is this book STILL around?

I'm writing this review because my local bookstore in San Diego carries it, much to my surprise and disgust. I read it when it came out and supposed it would soon die a well-deserved death and go to remainder hell, but here it is, still being supported by the likes of my local Borders--although they don't carry the much worthier Julia Reed or Florence King. As others have said, almost all the advice in this book is BAD advice. Certainly there are probably still women trying to raise little Southern belles, and telling them never to leave the house without looking like a fashion plate, never to tell a man what they really think (or that they think at all), always to regard other women as rivals, and always to get what they want through manipulating others. But this appalling view of womanhood is no more Southern than the redneck stereotype is--we Southerners are just the ones who get stuck with it, laughed at because of it, but (in some cases) conned into embracing it. Don't get conned: this book is worthless.
