Book Reviews of What the Bleep Do We Know!?: Discovering the Endless Possibilities for Altering Your Everyday RealityBook Review: What the Bleep Do We Know Summary: 5 StarsI thought the movie was great but the book is even better. The book goes more in depth with the topics than the movie and they were also able to explore the inspiration behind the making of the film. This book was my best book purchase in 2007. Robert Spencer
Book Review: This could have been a truly great book. Summary: 3 StarsWhile the authors seemed quite sincere, the message was diluted. The contributors were so dynamic that describing the process or providing examples seemed to take out much of the punch inherent in the message. I guess it's like trying to explain the tao.
Book Review: Don't bother Summary: 1 StarsThis book, movie, etc, and the book "The Secret" were written by cult members. Like any cult, facts are distorted. Do a little research. Many of the real experts quoted in the movie were angry that their statements were edited to change the meaning. A friend found them interesting despite those issues, but as I can make up my own "secrets", I found them useless, and a huge waste of money.
Book Review: Seeing With New Eyes Summary: 4 StarsI became aware of the topic of quantum physics over 25 years ago. Of course, at that time, there was a shroud of mystery about it. Two years ago, I was able to see the movie, "What the Bleep Do We Know?" and was amazed that it addressed the topic of quantum physics. What was more amazing was that the topic was explored in a way that most people could get the gyst without having to wade through the minutia of physics and the maze of higher mathmatics. Many concepts were explained in a way that made it possible to understand how the processes that take place every nanosecond on the subatomic level can effect our very existence.
When I was able to have this information available to me in this compendium book, I have been able to revisit many individual concepts that have to do with my interests and "camp out"...really exploring and thinking about what I've seen and heard.
While I am no where near an "expert" on this subject, I am satisfied that I can understand enough to appreciate the wonder of creation around me and see that I belong and can make a contribution to this life that matters.
I recommend this book to others who believe that there is more to existence on this planet than the superficial. While ths book provides a clear and enticing picture of the building blocks of our world, I would say that this book is a "sign on the highway" and not a final destination. We don't get off THAT easy!
Book Review: Fascinating and Comforting Summary: 5 StarsAn insightful read for the non-religious and religious person who seeks to make sense of God and our connectedness to mankind. This book brought me great comfort as I learned about consciousness and what that means in the bigger and deeper picture of life. An easy and fun read with many interesting facts. Everyone needs to see the pictures of Dr. Emoto's water crystals and you will decide to love yourself forever. The video is a great compliment to the book!
