Book Reviews of When You Wished Upon A Star "The Evolution of Anna Nicole Smith"Book Review: A Look at the Truth Summary: 5 Stars
I confess, I never kept up with Anna Nicole until her suspicious death in Feb. 2007. Since that time, there have been so many stories spun that it's hard to tell fact from fiction. Missy's book makes it easy...it's rings with the truth about Anna's young adulthood.
If you're looking for juicy stories and naming of names, go buy the National Enquirer. Missy holds nothing back, but she doesn't sensationalize....the truth comes shining through amid your tears and laughter. This is not the story of Anna Nicole Smith, but the story of Vickie Smith, aka, Nikki, who became Missy's friend. It's the story of a beautiful young woman whose dreams led her into a lifestyle that changed her from Nikki to Anna. This book reveals the truth about Anna's relationship with her mother, and her special friendship with Missy.
I couldn't put the book down, and I recommend it to anyone who prefers biographical truth over embellished stories.
Book Review: A Must Read Summary: 5 Stars
If you truly want to know part of the "whole story" behind Vickie Lynn, aka Anna Nicole Smith you should definitely read this book. I, like many, never really followed Anna Nicole until all this tragedy happened. Missy does not sugar-coat anything, and to have put herself out there herself to me says a lot. She has allowed us into a world and life that many of us would have never been able to see or understand. While at times this book may not seem "pretty" it is who Vickie Lynn was and it allows you to better understand what she had become, let's face it sometimes life just isn't pretty. This book also gives you a glimpse into the world that her son Daniel was thrust into. I am also grateful for the fact that she has spoken about Vickie Lynn's mother, I truly believe that Vickie Lynn would have wanted the "real truth" to come out and who better to tell it than someone who at one time was her closest friend and confident. Thank you Missy for writing this book.
Book Review: A STRIPPER'S ANALOGY Summary: 1 Stars
Great. Another book on Anna Nicole Smith. Just what we needed. A make-believe story by one of Anna's ex-stripper/lesbian friends. Terrible writing, what's to be believed. Get a life and take care of your family!
Book Review: Can't-Put-Down Fun Truthful Reading!! Summary: 5 Stars
This book absolutely sings with TRUTH- unlike any of the other books I have read on Anna Nicole. Any one who cares about reading the "real deal" will enjoy this book immensely! Kathy Lewis
Book Review: Finally an honest account and Howard can not sue!! Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great book I got it last night. I am at the part where Anna is driving her crazy with all the partying. I can not put this book down. The book is about Anna in the early days of her dancing career. Anna and Missy were strippers and became friends. I love the truth and honesty Missy puts into this novel. Missy holds nothing back. I am glad to know that Mrs. Virgie Arthur was not the monster that the press tried to make her out to be. Missy's story is intriguing right from the start. Thank you Missy for writing an honest book! I highly recommend it!!
