Book Review: A Must-Read for those who are suffering

I have given this book away several times to people who are in the midst of crisis or suffering. I first read it when I was flying back east to see my SIL for the last time, as she was dying from cancer at the age of 50. It was so helpful to me the way Philip Yancey explained God's perfect plan, which must include both the good and the bad. How can we know the immense pleasure of love without knowing the pain of loss, or the intense beauty around us if we didn't witness ugliness, too? God deliberately created a universe of opposites. It's how we experience the world and the fullness of it. Reading this book helping me cope with our family's loss and see God in the middle of it. I highly recommend it.
