In the next to last paragraph Dr. Feinberg writes "...I'll soon forget these monotonous months. They'll telescope into one grey blur, and the days will run into each other, in retrospect, with only a few high spots standing clear." There are no high spots, just one monotonous blur. A total waste of time.
