Book Reviews of Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner (Includes Author's Book of Shadows)

Book Review: An easy way to the Wiccan Path
Summary: 5 Stars

I have found this the best Solitary Guide to Wicca available. It is concise, easy to read, and it shows the reader just how customisable the Wiccan religion is. It is a great book and I recommend it to anyone who is searching for an alternative faith.

Book Review: I enjoied this book. It showed what wicca is really about
Summary: 5 Stars

This book showed a lot to me about what Wicca was. I hope other people can enjoy it as much as I did. I would like to thank the author for writing such a remarkable piece.

Book Review: A great tool for beginners
Summary: 4 Stars

I enjoyed this book very much. There are many good ideas to get you thinking. This book is not to be followed word for word like many other Wicca books. Scott wants to give readers ideas in which to form their own spiritual path. I was also relieved that this book didn't come off like a man's book. Wicca is primarily thought of as a women's religion and I was skeptical at first to read a book written by a man but he did a great job.

Book Review: Very good for beginners
Summary: 4 Stars

When I was first curious about Wicca, I read this book. It helped me very much. This is a must read from a witch who has helped our religion to shine. Brightest blessings!

Book Review: Wonderful book for starting out
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a wonderful, extensive book on Wicca fo rthe solitary. At first, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to do much, since I was new to the Path, and had absolutley no clue what I was doing, even though I was deeply interested. This book changed that. From the introduction to The Standing Stones Book of Shadows, it's a fully expansive book. Unlioke most books, it does not automaticly assume you know everything. It covers the very basics of Wicca, from the Deities to Nature, to Rune magic and chants and invocations. It also had a very clever writing system; it forced you to read the background before launching into spells. This made sure only those truly interested actually read the book.

If there is anyone out there who wants to join Wicca, but there is no local coven they can contact, this book is a must. And if you just want to see what Wicca is, this book is also a great one to read. Also, there is Wicca: A Further Guide for the Solitary Prcactitoner by the same author.

Blessed Be!
