Great story, great erotica. Sooo glad I could purchase it and will probably read it over and over again. I really liked the characters and their interactions. The dialogue wasn't cheesey like some romance novels I've read and the sex scenes were hot and to the point with great imagery without being too overdressed with metaphors. Morgan O'Neil is the hostess of a sex talk show where guests are invited to talk about their sexual fantasies or practices. One would assume that hostessing such a show would entail her having extensive firsthand experience. On the contrary, she, in fact, has had limited sexual exposure to the more exotic intimacies, harbouring feelings of guilt for secretly wishing to explore this darker side of her nature. Her previous companion considered her desires an anomaly she should seek help for.
Jack Cole nurtures a deep felt wrath against a former friend, whom he caught in a compromising position with the woman he loved. Jack has been biding time for the moment to arrive when he can exact retribution. The opportunity falls right on his lap, when the aforementioned friend's woman, Morgan O'Neil, invites Jack to her show to talk about the BDSM lifestyle. A meeting is scheduled in a cafe where Morgan is attacked by an obsessive stalker who has been harassing her. Jack, being a bodyguard by profession, saves Morgan, taking her to his cabin by the river for safety, where he will keep her until the stalker is caught. He does not fail to note how fortuitously it all works out, giving him ample time to work on his seduction of Morgan.
Morgan remains unaware of Jack's dark plans, and realizes that she cannot resist the magnetic animal pull of this extremely sexy dominant male. He embodies all her innermost fantasies and so she is gradually drawn in by his blatant seduction.
The story has two absolutely gorgeous protagonists, with a third thrown in towards the end for good measure, so a menage scene is included. The story is well balanced between suspense by attempts made on the heroine's life, and the very hot sexual encounters between Morgana and Jack. As the story unfolds Jack finds that the strong attraction he feels for Morgan is not only sexual. But his desire for revenge is just as strong. I loved these moments of intensely emotional clashes! There is BDSM, but nothing extreme or offensive, unless you totally dismiss books of this genre. I enjoyed it, though I must admit, this line of the heroine being in constant danger because some maniac is after her, has got rather hackneyed. I don't think I want to read another along these lines as it is beginning to feel as if I were reading a different version of the same book.

This was the first book by Shayla Black that I had read. She was recommended to me by a few friend who knew that I enjoyed Lora Leigh. I really do enjoy the alpha male characters and this book at plenty of that, actually it was a bit much. While I found that the book kept my interest and the sex scenes were great, I kept getting hung up on the Dominant/Submissive thing. I tried so hard to get over it but I can't, it really ruined it for me. I did give the book 4 stars because it was well written. I think if you are ok with the Dominant/Sumissive thing they you will really really like this book!Book Review: Surprisibgly delicious.

This was the first book I read of Shayla Black. And I am hooked. It's a nice blend of suspense and erotica. The characters were great. Great story line. I finished it within hours, I couldn't put it down.
