Book Reviews of Wicked

Book Review: Wicked
Summary: 5 Stars

I cannot resist a Susan Johnson book especially the older ones. She has a very distinctive way of writing and I love the history Ms. Johnson usually brings with her books and this is no exception...

Book Review: Wicked
Summary: 4 Stars

This is not a book for the prudish!!!
Girl: Ex-servant longing to be a painter, stows away on boy's boat.
Boy: Very verile (of course), young, sexy, attractive catches girl.
They get together (over and over and over again)
They fall in love but won't admit to it... Until they do.

With any romance novel, you know they're going to get (and eventually stay) together. The fun part is reading their journey along the way. If you're looking for an a-typical journey (i.e. dripping with well... you know) quick to the point romance novel then this one is a great read.

Personally, I don't care what the story is behind it... I love the "getting together" scenes and I was NOT disappointed!!

Awesome book. I really like to read Susan Johnson books. She is an excellent romance novelist.

Book Review: Wicked in Wisconsin
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchase novels by the look of the cover - and what a cover this was!! This book was a nice change from the typical run/chase scenario that is typical of romance novels. I will be reading more Susan Johnson books in the future.

Book Review: too Hot, no Plot
Summary: 1 Stars

This book should not be classified as a romance, If there was a romantic plot I wasn't able to detect it. This novel should be classified as an adult book, with it's explicit language and crude situations. This books setting was supposed to be set in the 1800's, yet the only way you could tell that is the fact that the females wore long flowing gowns and went to tailors. Nothing else in this novel could show that this was a historical romance. The characters were un-believable. The female, Sarina, was rather easy, weak and pathetic. She seemed to whine the whole way through the entire novel, or giving it up without a fight. The man, Beau, was domeneering and annoying. And a male pig. There was no chemistry between them unless it was in the bed room. and there it seemed to crude and vulger. The relationship was too weak to believe. This book was by far the worst romance novel(if you could call it that) that I have ever read in my entire life. If you want to read a good romance, with a good plot, and believable characters, try Susan ELizabeth Phillips or Linda Howard, not Susan Johnson. This book was not worth the money that I paid for it. Save your money, you could buy a book just like this at an adult fantasy store for 1.25$.
