Book Reviews of Wild FireBook Review: Addicted to Nelson Demille-- Please Help! Summary: 5 Stars
I never read fiction. ever. But stranded in an airport, and faced with a shortage of quality non-fiction books, I picked up a mass market copy of Nightfall-- bad choice of books to start reading on an airplane. But once I started, I didn't stop until the last words were read and was shocked at how well narrated it was-- it felt real. When Wildfire released I kept it on my bookshelf until last week and just like Nightfall, I couldn't stop. Clothes piled up, my daughter hasn't been fed in days, and I am quite sure DCFS is on their way-- but Wildfire is such a thrilling ride that like any addict I just needed to keep reading. Detective Corey is a cleverly developed character whose fearless wit is as entertaining as the storyline itself. DeMille skillfully presents some fairly complicated technical material in a way that was smooth and quite eloquent. Wildfire flows like the Nile and will make a Nelson DeMille addict out of you, too.
Book Review: Amazing Possibility Summary: 5 Stars
I don't know if the U.S. Gov't. has any plan such as "Wildfire", but if we don't, we should. DeMille has done a lot of research on Islam and the fundamentalist fanaticism, and presents a believeable backdrop for a real page turning thriller. This is a must read.
Book Review: Another Great Book by DeMille Summary: 5 Stars
I am a huge Nelson Demille fan and Wild Fire was NOT a disappointment in any way. The hero, John Corey, was just as witty and smart-alecky as usual and the story moved at a pace that kept me intrigued.
The best part, and this usually makes a book for me, is that I laughed outloud a NUMBER of times.
You can't go wrong reading this, or any other, DeMille book.
Book Review: Another Great DeMille book Summary: 5 Stars
This is another one of his "can't put it down" books. John and Kate take one on a wild ride to a plausible nuking of America and the Mideast. I love them both, and they show more of themselves in this writing, and we get to know them even more. Can't wait to read more of their exciting adventures. Real Superheros.
Book Review: Another Great One Summary: 5 Stars
Again we venture forth into what is not politically correct. Out of the heart of the Author and his friends comes all that should be. It may be fiction but I beleive all fiction is based on fact. The wise cracking John Cory makes the book. All he wants to say comes no where close to what he says and that adds plenty of humor to the story. The main idea in the story line certainly could be true derived by the CIA. Those that say impossible are thinking like children. He has researched his book well and as always a fine novel reflects his work.
