Book Reviews of Wild at Heart: Discovering the Secret of a Man's Soul

Book Review: Briliantly progressive to stir your heart into change
Summary: 5 Stars

I found this book not just simple reading but also very relational. I always knew just what he was talking about. This book must be read by all or at least all christians. It`s a book for men but speaks to woman too!!

Book Review: You'll Weep, You'll be be Amazed. You'll Discover your Heart
Summary: 5 Stars

When I started reading this book I thought that it was going to be the same old motivational macho stuff that a lot of self help books can be. But this really does deal with the heart and more. If you think that GOD is an impersonal force who arbitrarily dips a toe into our atmosphere to find out how we are doing then this book will help you see how untrue that is. It doesn't promise you anything that is beyond your reach. There are many men out there who literally don't know where to turn next. This book gives you some of the directions. To quote from the film 'The Matrix' John Eldredge can "only show you the door, you have to decide to walk through it"
If at the beginning, middle or end of this book you decide that its not for you, then pass it on to somebody you know, because I'm sure that they will start the journey towards "Discovering the Secret of a Man's Soul.

Book Review: Great stuff
Summary: 5 Stars

Eldredge has written a book that challenges men to stand up, to not conform to the world, to not become the image that man wants man to be but rather to fill the boots that God made for us. We are able. We are a wonderful creation and we have the ability to return to the source and thank Him by acknowledging Him by becoming men, true men. He uses films and books as references, such as Gladiator and Braveheart. The best quote is 'the four things a man doesn't need at sea - an anchor, oars, a sail - and the fear of going down.' Its a very good read.

Book Review: not just for men
Summary: 5 Stars

This is also wonderful book for women to read. It gives tremondous insight into the heart of a man which often seems closed of. Not only will you learn how to help and suport the men in your life, but you will also learn about yourself as a women. Any women who has a husband or a son needs to read this book.

Book Review: What a great book!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is truly a long awaited book. It has enabled me to have a vocabulary to explain much of how I've been feeling these past years. I've felt guilty that I haven't really fitted into the structures that I have grown up through. Men want to have an adventure and not necessarily want to adhere to the status quo. And women really like them that way. This book has shown that it is ok for guys to do something with their lives, why they may not be achieving their full potential and how they can go about putting it right.
