I wish I had read this book when I was 20. Having had most of the experiences that John Eldredge describes, including being the father of four and believing that staying married to the girl I fell in love with for 25 years has been the hardest challenge of my life, I find that the author has wonderfully described the real challenges that we men who claim to be Christian should be accepting. If you take these lessons to heart, you will learn what it means to love God, to enjoy adventure, and to be captivated by your woman. This is an exceptionally good book on CD. It is read by the author with passion. I learned so much about how men struggle to know themselves. As a woman, it was very helpful to me to understand my husband of 33 years and my son age 30. I listened to this CD a good dozen times and I learned something new each time. The book tells men what women really need from them and will help men understand them as well. I highly recommend the Cd to every adult man or woman. Every adult male on my Christmas list got this for Christmas. That's how valuable I found this Cd!
