I just read Women Who Love Sex and greatly enjoyed it. I found it empowering as well as inspiring in opening to the fullness of my sexuality.
I grew up in a conservative Christian household. I learned about the mechanics of sex, but not about the passion, the intimacy, the delight. It has taken me decades to heal my sexual shame about my desire, especially as an unmarried "good girl" who got pregnant at 21. It feels so good to delight in my sensuality, to enjoy exploring my body and my husband's body. Every time I allow myself to enjoy sex, it heals deep, deep wounds. "Sexual healing" has taken on a whole new meaning for me.
If you want to be a woman who loves sex - not in a Hollywood way, but in a real life way, I highly recommend this book.
I can say, with pride, that I am a woman who loves sex - what a victory over years of "shoulds" and "should nots."
