Book Reviews of WonderplayBook Review: Not really worth it Summary: 2 StarsThis book is just barely okay. There are only a couple ideas that even come close to being original. Also, there isn't much explanation of any suggestion. Skip buying the book and do some brain-storming. You will come up with everything in there.
Book Review: Really not that useful Summary: 1 StarsWe found this book more annoying than helpful. It includes the words for many songs, but not the music, so if you don't know the tune, you can't sing the songs. The recommendations for infants didn't include anything we hadn't thought of before. We much preferred Baby Days.
Book Review: useless... Summary: 1 StarsI bought this book because there were several glowing reviews of its content. The suggestions in this book are not creative at all!! I am not creative by nature, but I had thought of most of the ideas listed here. There are sections by age, but each section is small and you could do all of the items in one weekend. The songs and rhymes were the only thing of value in the book. Thumbs down!
Book Review: Very Good Summary: 4 StarsThis book has TONS of songs, finger plays, activities. The lay out makes it easy to use because it is devided into ages. There are things for every member of the family to participate in- activities, cooking, games etc. The reason I rated if four stars rather than five was because for me, this book was TOO MUCH. I found it to be overwhelming to sort out the stuff I wanted from the stuff I didn't want. I found it difficult to really look at this book because there was just so much on each page. Everyone tells me I have an analytical mind and maybe that is my problem. I would have appreciated having a more clean layout- rather than just a jumble of ideas for each age. However, if you have no ideas for dealing with children, this is the book to have. This is a great book if you are a teacher who deals with a variety of prek ages. This book is also good for parents.
Book Review: Great book Summary: 4 StarsI bought this book because it has been years since I sang a lullaby or been around babies. This book did exactly what I expected, which was refreshed my memory. It has nusery ryhmes and activities to stimulate your baby. So far everything I have tried has kept my baby entrigued and focused.
