Book Reviews of Wuthering Heights (Bantam Classics)Book Review: BORING Summary: 1 StarsThis book is so boring! I hated every word of it! NOTHING HAPPENS! The only way the plot is advanced is by the characters getting sickly and dying. Oh man, I really hate this book.
Book Review: THIS BOOK WAS SHLOCK! Summary: 1 Starsi hated this book with a passion! i felt no sympathy for any of the characters and i thought that it was pointless and boring.
Book Review: A powerful love story Summary: 4 StarsWuthering Heights was a very good, well written book, though the beginning was very confusing. This book was full of love, passion, and hatred. Not many people get to live the experiece of what Catherine was feeling when she said, "I am Heathcliff, he's always, always, in my mind; not as a pleasure any more than I am always a pleasure to myself, but as my own being." That was the most powerful quote in the whole book, and it shows how well thought out this book was when it was written.
Book Review: Not only an adult's book Summary: 5 StarsI am only 11, but I have just read this book and I don't see how anyone could ever write a better one! Everyone told me I couldn't read it, it was too old for me, etc., but I gave it a shot and ended up reading it a second time! The depth is brilliant, and although the characters are all somewhat insane, they become very likable, even Heathcliff. It's a change from most "romances", if you could call it that. I reccomend this book to anyone who is ready to read a serious book that goes far deeper into the emotion of love than anyone has ever done before.
Book Review: brooding but passionate romance Summary: 5 StarsVery passionate, a flavor of undying defying love. Characteristic of a very romantic setting and era., embodies the darker aspects of spiritual and carnal romantic engrossment.
