Book Reviews of Your Immortal Reality: How to Break the Cycle of Birth and DeathBook Review: A must read Summary: 5 StarsIf you keep an open mind you will see life in the pages of this book and what the true meaning of it is.
Book Review: something real Summary: 5 StarsI have never been much of a Course In Miracles fan. My early exposure to it was with some pretty fanatical people who were looking for more ways to assign guilt and shame for what we've done or hadn't done. So I cataloged CIM in that fanatical psuedo spiritual space that much of the New Age Movement of the late 80s turned out to be. Then I met Gary Renard. I met him because a friend bought me a ticket to one of his workshops. When I arrived and discovered that it was based on CIM, I almost left on the spot. But I've been around long enough to understand the serendipity of the Universe, so I stayed. In addition, it was a long drive and I didn't have a ride home.
Gary was one of those rare people who said things that just resonated within me. At the end of that day, I felt better about myself. When I apply the things he discusses in his books to my life, my life is better. And yes, I am still getting around forgiving some of those New Agers of the 80s. But it is okay. It is a pretty good idea that I practice forgiveness; it always benefits me. However, I don't HAVE to do it.
That I can forgive myself for those things that I have or haven't done has been the most profound discovery of my life. And I thank Gary Renard for sharing that with me. He showed me a doorway to peace and doesn't make me feel bad if I choose not to walk through it.
Book Review: I nominate Gary Renard for The Noble Peace Award Summary: 5 StarsThere is no force more powerful to move us toward peace than the power of forgiveness. There is nothing that will get us there faster. There is nothing that we need more profoundly at this time in our evolution than to undo the ego. Gary's book provides the imformation needed to find the path to PEACE and to remember who we truly are.His message is courageous and it works for everyone.
My life has been dramatically changed by using true forgiveness as explained in this story and I have exerienced positive trasnformation
beyond my understanding.Thank you for bringing us this message of
healing and peace. Our world would be transformed beyond recognition, in a moment,if we would all practice this true forgiveness for just one day.
I can think of no greater contribution to our spiritual evolution.
Book Review: disappointed Summary: 1 StarsOne reviewer has sited that this book contains "corrections" in regard to criticisms leveled at the author. As I read the book, it seemed less about an effort to "correct", and more about launching its own criticism - often by naming well-known spiritual teachers and discounting their perspectives as not being the "real" truth. This is the first time I have encountered a spirituality author who names names and uses his book as a platform for invalidating the teachings of others. After all of the talk about forgiveness in his book, and seeking to live in an ego-less way, this was quite shocking to me. So much of the book seemed to continually focus on argument. After an expansive recounting of a conflict with someone, the author, would often end it with acknowledging his need to forgive. I found myself tending to remember the weighty impact of the greater number of words devoted to the conflict in comparison to the brief aside calling for a forgiveness lesson! Many readers say that "Disappearance" is filled with ideas that turn one's world upside down...well, many of these kinds of things appear in other books on spirituality. They are not all that new. The channeling of spiritual information is a common occurence for many people, and only someone who has never heard of it, or experienced it, would be amazed. People (including me) often receive spiritual guidance by way of loving beings. I have no problem with the idea of the author receiving guidance via his "visitors". All of that said, I highly recommend the writing of another spiritual teacher, Paul Ferrini, who also writes in regard to Jesus. His books resonate with me, and eventually I want to read them all.
Book Review: Great Book Summary: 5 StarsOnce I was though reading Garys first Book I was very excited about reading his second book Your Immortal Reality. It is by far just as good as the first one I LOVED IT!. I read it two times The second time only reading the enlightened teachers messages. I understand now the teachings of the east when they say life is a illusion. I also understand Jesus Christ teachings better and my forgiveness skills have sharpened. Always remember life is a illusion but you still have to be responsible for the illusion by Love All Serve All! I am waiting for his third book. Hurry up Gary!
