I was starting with doubts reading a spirituality book by a guitar expert who virtually admits his two main characters are "made up" in the introduction. The general "forgiveness is the main thing" is a good lesson for many type A's to hear. But when he said he enjoyed watching the water spin down the drain in the opposite direction in Australia because of "differences in magnetism", I realized that neither he nor his editors really knew or cared about scientific facts. That may be OK for him, but not for anyone like me. The book went into the trash.Book Review: Forever grateful!!

I truly feel that anyone who reads A Course in Miracles must have the books Your Immortal Reality and Disappearance of the Universe sitting right there beside ACIM. These books are simply wonderful!! I initially read ACIM 6 years ago. However, I found myself continually re-reading the text trying to understand the unique verbiage. Then one day I was guided to purchase Gary Renards first book, and I have to say by the time I put this book down clarification was ringing for me from all fields. The message his first book delivered encouraged me to become a 'true' Course student like never before. Then along came Gary Renards second book, Your Immortal Reality, I have read both books over and over, highlighted and refer to them whenever I feel myself straying from the Course. If you haven't read these books, and are a Course student, I strongly recommend them to you. If you are new to the Course, I recommend reading these books first and then reading the text. It is like night and day reading the Course after you have read these two books. I am ever so happy that I followed my guidance that day and found myself holding The Disappearance of the Universe. And I have to say that I am forever grateful to Gary Renard for these two amazing books that have helped me to learn to really love the Course!

Book Review: Truly enlightening!

This is another great work by Mr. Renard. (Read Disappearance of the universe first.) His humor and intelligence make this a must read for anyone who is interested in A Course in Miracles (published by the Foundation of Inner Peace, be sure to not purchase the bogus one.)
We recently attended his workshop in Kiel WI at Pathways of Light, and found his message to be inspiring and thoughtful. He is a pleasant down to earth man worth reading and listening to.

Book Review: Incredible journey

This book is an incredible journey for those of you familiar with A Course in Miracles. It opens up a level of awareness about Love and Forgiveness and how we can find true atonement on our way back to Spiritual Health. For me it was a continuation of Gary's other book, "The Disappearance of the Universe". You should really read that first before taking on this book in order for it to have impact. Disappearance was something along the lines of the very best 7 course dinner that I've ever had. Immortal Reality is the greatest dessert that I've ever had after the meal. These are both must read books if you'd like to get your spiritual health in order. They have literally changed my life.Book Review: a wonderful follow up to DU....

If you liked DU and all it says and what it ponts to, as I did, then I suspect you'll really appreciate Your Immortal reality(YIR) which I certainly have. The teachings of ACIM are as direct and uncompromising a use of concepts to go beyond all concepts as I have ever read, and at times when reading it I have felt a profound, inexpressable sense of gratitude for what it is remindeing me of. That is the value this book can have for those that are ready to hear what it is offering, and the reveiws here show that many are reday to hear it.
YIR is, in many ways, a reveiw of DU, but as arten and pursah say in the book, reveiw and repetition is necessary to really get the principles deep down into the unconsciuoness where they must be in order to really apply the course and experience the peace the course promises. And YIR gives this repetition in a way that is as enjoyable to read as it was in DU.
So with that said, I really enjoyed getting the same message again in anew version, combined with garys jokes and comments, and his narration of his experience of applying the course and his resulting experiences. Like DU, this book has so many priceless reminders that heaven is already our reality, and that the secret to experiencing peace is simple to say but easy to forget to apply when it hits the fan, but we are always invited to "choose once again" as ACIM says.
There is one prophecy about the future given by arten/pursah that I have not been able to forget, and it has deeply reminded me how important it is to develop the habit of real forgiveness deeper and deeper because some of what is going to appear in our future is going to make such an attitude necessary for getting through it.
A great book I'd say, worth every penny, and one I'll re-read many times I expect.
