Book Review: Self Challenge, not just Self Help Summary: 5 StarsYour Inner CEO challenged me to be honest with myself. Seemingly everynight night my wife and I end up discussing pretty deep subjects brought up in the book. (She keeps me honest.)
The real-life stories and examples are well written and interesting. They also help with self discovery and I find myself taking notes in the book.
It's a likely X-mas gift for my boss.
Enjoy, dt

Book Review: Guide to Life Summary: 5 StarsYour Inner CEO, is a great step by step guide to finding a better path for your life.
Book Review: A guide to self-discovery Summary: 5 StarsThe cover of Allan Cox's latest book Your Inner CEO shows an executive shoving aside his tie and pulling open his jacket and shirt to expose what is underneath. Between the covers, Allan Cox digs even deeper. He challenges old assumptions and practices of "doing business" and comes up with a surprisingly simple solution: To be an effective CEO, just be the best person you can be.
Cox uses a wealth of stories to illustrate this concept. He brings in examples, case studies, exercises and even poetry. Expounding on the theory of Viennese psychologist Alfred Adler, he makes a solid case that professional, personal and spiritual aspects of life cannot be separated.
The books is clearly structured and includes lessons and tools to discover strength, weaknesses and, most importantly, personal goals making it a hands-on manual to discover your inner CEO. It also is an enjoyable read.
