I am usually quite skeptical of products like this, but after a long, long day - instead of flicking on the "tube" and further aggrevating myself with the nonsense on TV, I popped in Susies CD, and was pleasantly surprised. When I'm feeling stressed and cannot sleep, nothing is as comforting as hearing Susie Mantell's calming voice on my CD player. She has a way of making me feel tranquil and relaxed after a rough day. As a wife and working mother, I can get rather stressed during my day of trying to get everything done. I tried this CD thinking it would not really help but, given a particlarly difficult day, would try anything. I waited until the kids were asleep, popped the CD in, put on my headphones and listened. I can't tell you how good it felt to hear Ms. Mantell's soothing voice and guided imagery transport me to a peaceful place. I am surprised, and grateful, how effective this CD is at helping me relax. I now listen to it about 3 times a week. I've tried other relaxation tapes/CDs, but this is the only one that has had any long term positive effect. I wish she had a second CD. For years and years I have returned to this relaxation program to rediscover peace, and it works every single time. It is the healthiest, sanest, cheapest, and fastest way I have found to regain my balance and centeredness in this crazy world.
